Teaching Classification Skills - Sorting 🌈

Notice the little ledge that Nicky insisted these foam beads teeter on. How many times do you think this fell and went everywhere🤪, only to be sorted again and again?!? Having kids sort objects develops their classification skills. Egg cartons, muffin tins, hula hoops and string are all great organizers to have on hand when sorting. Here we sorted the beads by colour (we could have also separated them by shape) before making his necklace. Once your child can identify objects as the same or different, they are ready to start learning how to sort objects by different attributes.🔸🔺🔹◾️

DIY Name Builder

Snap cubes, label stickers and a Sharpie are all you need to make this simple name building activity! Awesome for preschoolers learning to recognize and spell their name.
